Recession had slighter effect on the performance of Islamic banking then Conventional banks.
In spite of the fact that Islamic Banking is still in its early ages of operations in Pakistan, but its performed at par of Conventional banks in term of efficiencies.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Both Conventional banking and Islamic banking should go parallel in order to meet the needs of the clients.
Government should play a more effective role. It should support this by taking initiatives in all necessary directions.
