Who are you?

How do I know about you?

Your identity is all of the things that makes you “You”

When we meet, I can see you and hear you.

I learn about you by looking at you and talking to you. But I learn more about you

than just what you tell me.

Your tone of voice and body language help me understand your meaning.

If we meet again I will recognize you by your name, your face, and your voice.

I know your “identity” because I have seen you and talked to you.

But what if I “met” you on the computer, online. How would I know you then?

I would only know what you chose to tell me, what you chose to show me.

identity and personality.

How do you handle all this “identity” stuff?

Never give away too much information about yourself.

Be polite and kind to people you email. If you are nasty and mean, people will think bad things about you even it isn’t true.

You want to show a pleasant online personality. How you act online is the only

way people will know you.

The most important thing to remember: If a site, picture, words, message, or email makes you scared or uncomfortable,
