Strategy to be used at hui session (end of day – full class)

Options provided are our core subjects plus “Other – you choose”

Options provided are: amazing; ok; funny; sad and sick. Will work with students to develop other options.

Non-verbal student adds his own favourite visual (the end of lesson clock – which he loves!)

Student chooses ‘other visual’ and tells class she enjoyed “lunch”

Student chooses “sad” visual – we had recently learnt of the death of a student who left last year.

Student uses visuals to organise her thoughts and convey them to class verbally and visually.

Students listening can receive information about student’s day in visual and oral form.
