How to Watch a Movie on a HDTV from a MacBook Computer

Introduction
Ever wanted to watch a movie from your computer onto a larger screen? This is a dilemma that many MacBook users face. It is easy to connect your MacBook computer to your TV so that you can enjoy a larger screen and better sound quality.Warning: This is not for the new MacBooks after 2006
Required Materials
• MacBook Computer before 2006
• HDTV
• Mini Display Port to DVI Adapter (To Purchase Adapter

Step One
Obtain the correct Apple Mini Display Port to DVI Cable for your MacBook and HDTV
Step Two
Turn on the TV and turn on your Macbook (wait for computer to fully load). Then connect the Mini DVI adapter to the appropriate port (you plug in the smaller side to your MacBook). The Port should look like this.
Step Three
Connect the other side of the adapter to the Belkin HDMI to DVI video cable
Step Four
Connect the other side of the Belkin HDMI to DVI video cable to the appropriate HDTV port.
Step Five
Plug the stereo cable into the headphone port on your MacBook.
Step Six
Take the other side of the stereo cable and plug it in to the appropriate ports on your HDTV. Hint: Look for red and white ports on the back of your HDTV.
Step Seven
Now press the "input" button on the remote control and select the correct HDMI input that is synced to your computer.
Step Eight
Insert a DVD or open a downloaded movie, then use the appropriate “video player” (iTunes, Quicktime, DivX Player). Once the "video player" pops up click and drag it to the right edge of the computer screen to the HDTV. It should automatically show up on your HDTV screen. Then Click play and now you are ready to enjoy your movie on a bigger screen with better sound quality.

When you are finished, pull out all the cables you connected to your HDTV and MacBook. After that is complete your MacBook and HDTV should return to normal
