First, you turn the tutorial team into fictional

characters

and you assemble a team of trustworth helpers

Then you recruit a group of unsuspecting would-be

teachers

and some very cooperative volunteer students

The trainees learn essential techniques, such as establishing

rapport,

setting up groupwork,

monitoring unobtrusively,

playing games

and even a little phonology

After a while,insanity sets in

and people get very tired

and say very silly things

which you write on a whiteboard.

Unfortunately there is no escape

so you give the main tutor a cuddly kangaroo

and look after the visiting assessor well

so that in the end there is much joy and happiness.

When it’s all over you go to a magic garden where everyone becomes

intoxicated

and chickens are made out of hand towels

On the way home, and under the influence of alcohol, people turn

into new fictional characters ready for life after CELTA and the next

time.
