How to make your charts interactive? [No coding / VBA]

Step-1 Insert a text box. Write 58% inside the text box.58% is the value of January.

Step-2 Insert -> Shapes -> Scribble (shown with red arrow)

Draw a shape over the blue area. Don’t worry about looks. Just try to cover as much blue as possible.

Step-3 Right click on the shape you have drawn. Format Shape. Set transparency to 99%. Solid fill can be any colour.

Remove the lines by going to LINE COLOR. Choose NO LINE.The shape now becomes transparent.

Setting up the ENTRY of 58%

Click on the text box. Go to Custom Animation. Add Effect -> Entrance -> Appear. We have chosen how the number will appear on screen.

Under ‘Timing’ option -> Triggers -> Start effect on click of ‘Freeform’. Freeform is the name of the shape which you have made. It is called Freeform because you are free to make anything. It’s like a pencil.

Setting up the EXIT of 58%

Select text box. Under ‘Add Effects’. Choose Disappear. Under ‘Timings’ set trigger. The trigger again is the freeform shape we have drawn.

Your effect is ready. In slideshow mode when your mouse is over the freeform shape you have drawn, the mouse pointer changes to a hand.

Click on it and 58% appears. Click again and it disappears.
