Science Outreach 2015Establishing Partnerships

Parksville• Parksville became a partner in 2002. They have Big Science Little Hands science bins on the WOW Bus and

in the BLT.

SFU Budding Scientists• SFU ‘s Budding Scientists formed a partnership with Science World to deliver programs to foster science

literacy. It is in its 2nd year.

Play to Learn- BurnabyPlay to Learn is a program designed for families of small children. Science World became a partner to engage families about science for young children.

Creekside• Creekside is a preschool located on False Creek across from Science World. Science workshops and

programming with the children has been ongoing since 2011.

Decoda and Vancouver Public Library

• This wonderful venture began to tie in with Literacy Week. We worked on activities dealing with STEAM for the Science and Literacy Weekend held here at Science World.

Sechelt• This collaboration began this year as a result of working with the Strongstart teachers . We plan to include

science activities on WonderWheels.
