INTRODUCING PEOPLE We can also use a yes/no question to start an introduction.

Carlos: Excuse me are you Monica Carreño?

Monica: Yes, that’s right

Carlos: Hi, I’m Carlos Bravo

Monica: Are you from LG company?

Carlos: Yeah, that’s right. You are from Inca travel agency.

Monica: Right , I’m the secretary.

USEFUL THINGS TO KNOW

REMEMBER: we usually use the verb Be (am, are, is) when we greet or

introduce people.

There are two greetings and farewell forms. (formal and informal).

We usually use formal expressions when we meet someone for the first time.

We use informal expressions with friends or someone you already know
