Step-by-Step Directions

Cut paper into a 6 inch by 6 inch square.

+

Draw an X on the paper using a pencil.

+

After drawing the X, the paper should look like this.

Trace the X 2/3 of the way down towards the center using a Sharpie marker.

After tracing with the Sharpie marker, the paper should look like this.

Paint the back of the paper using Jackson Pollock’s style as an inspiration.

This is another example of how the back could be painted.

Continue painting each triangle using a different artist as an inspiration.

AAfter the art on the pinwheel is completed, use scissors to cut down the Sharpie lines on each

corner.

Gather every other corner on the pinwheel.

+

Push the pushpin through the pinwheel and the straw. Attach an earring back to the pinwheel in order to secure the pinwheel to the straw.
