GOOD GROOMING

WHAT IS GOOD GROOMING?

Being neat, clean and appropriately dressed are all part of good grooming. Well- pressed and newly laundered clothes, shiny and sweet smelling hair, neat-looking appearance and good posture indicate that a person is well-groomed.

HOW IMPORTANT THEN IS GOOD GROOMING?

1. It shows that you respect yourself so others will respect you.

2. It helps you relate well with others. 3. It boost your self-confidence. 4. It makes you look and feel good. 5. It helps you gain and keep a lot of friends.

WAYS OF TAKING CARE OF DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE BODY

CARE FOR YOUR HAIR!

1.Shampoo your hair as often as needed.

2.Choose the right shampoo for your hair type.

3.Apply mineral or coconut oil on the scalp using a piece of cotton.

4.Brush your hair regularly.

STEPS IN SHAMPOOING☺ Wet your hair with water.

☺Dilute some shampoo in a scoop, dipper or tumbler with

a little water.

☺Pour the mixture gradually over hair and massage your scalp with your fingertips.

STEPS IN SHAMPOOING☺Spread the lather all over your head, paying particular attention to your hairline.

☺Rinse thoroughly with water.

☺Dry your hair with a clean and soft towel.

STEPS IN SHAMPOOING☺Comb your hair carefully to

remove tangles.

CARE FOR YOUR Hands!

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap or liquid wash and water.

Scrub your nails and knuckles with soft brush to remove the dead skin.

Rinse thoroughly with waterDry your hands with a clean towel.Cut or file your fingernails following

the curve of the fingernails.

CARE FOR YOUR FEET!

Cut your toenail, Cut them straight across to prevent ingrown

toenails.Soak your feet in warm, soapy water and clean your nails with a

soft brush. Apply foot deodorant or powder and change your socks everyday. Wear cotton socks for proper air

circulation.

Brush your teeth at least twice a day or after each meal.

Eat the right food. Use a mouthwash. Have a regular dental check-up. Use dental floss to remove bits of food stuck

in between your teeth. Do not use your teeth to remove a bottle cap.
