Before you start your packing, keep the following supplies handy for packing:

Packing Boxes

Marking pen

Bubble Wrap

Packing papers for moving

Tape and scissors

Tip #1 Use the right box i.e. for heavy items like books, dishes etc… use small boxes and for lighter items like bedding, blankets & linens etc… use large boxes.

Tip #2 Never overload the boxes. Packed boxes should not weigh more than you can comfortably lift. Make sure the box remains square and not bulging at the top or sides.

Tip #3

Label all the boxes. Use the marking pen to label the contents of every box. This will save your time while unpacking the boxes.

Tip #4 Tape matters. Good quality packaging tape is vital. Make sure you tape every box especially the box that contains glassware, picture frames, lamps and so forth.

Tip #5

Use bubble wrap and packing papers to fill the extra space in the boxes. This will keep your chattels safe from damage during moving.
