InterSoleThe InterSole mounting system is integrated in the roof, ensuring water tightness by overlapping the InterSole plates.

InterSoleThe InterSole plates, made of durable HDPE, are hooked over the roof battens, just as standard roof tiles and secured with the InterSole anchors.

InterSoleThe anchors hold the mounting rails which can be positioned vertically or horizontally, depending if portrait or landscape fixing is needed.

Static Calculations

WHY do we need a static calculation ?

To avoid this type of situations

Technical requirements in the UK• Microgeneration Installation Standard

MIS3002. Requirements for MCS Contractors undertaking the supply, design, installation, set to work commissioning and handover of solar photovoltaic PV Microgeneration systems issue 3.3

To meet the requirements, installers need to follow the MCS /ECA Guide to installation of

photovoltaic systems

Sections specifically dealing with static calculations:

• 4.3.5 Array Mounting (reference to manufacturers data)• 4.3.6 Load Calculations (reference to BRE 489 BS

EN 1991-1 Eurocode -1, MCS 012, Eurocode 5)• 4.3.8 Building Structure Calculations (reference to Eurocode 5 / BS EN 1991-1)

How do we achieve a static calculation?

Installer works out the dynamic loads himself. Meaning he takes absolute responsibility for any safety factors.

μi x SK = KN/m2 KN/m2 = Aref
