The Five Themes of Geography are categories that scientists use to study Earth’s features:

REGION• a region has a unifying

characteristic such as climate, land, population or history

• Scientists divide the Earth’s land into sections, called Regions, based on certain traits those sections share.

relative - where a place is by describing

places near it (mountain/ocean)
