Repair and fabrication of Hot and Cold Working Tools and Dies For repairs and build ups on dies made from materials such as case hardening, Air hardening and heat treatable steels. Use for repair and buildups on steels such as
1.2080,1.2162 ,1.2311,(P20) 1.2312, 1.2316, 1.2341,1.2344,1.2436,1.2842 1.2581, For rebuilding edges of cutting tools ,knives, shear blades, drills, hot punching dies, Extrusion moulds for copper, aluminium and zinc. Dies for pressure casting. Forging dies, manufacturing dies from lower alloy steels. Press tools, plastic extrusion screws and other parts subjected to metal to metal wear. Excellent wear and impact resistance. Able to maintain hardness up to 550 C Can be annealed tempered and heat treated. Industries: Automotive, Engineering, Steelworks, Repair shops, Plastic and rubber pro-
cessing, Forging shops etc.
Recommendations for welding. Shielding gas: EN 439-I 1 (100% Argon) Remove fatigue or cracked metal. Clean weld area preheat part according to carbon content 250-450 °C Welding Polarity: =(-) direct polarity Peening is recommended after every pass to relieve residual stress. Intermittent (step welding) is
recommended Allow weld deposit to cool slowly Tempering if required should be done according to steel Manuf. Recommendations The final Hardness of the weld deposit depends on the degree of Dilution with the base metal and
the welding parameters used. 2-3 layers may be required to reach full Hardness
