Firefox Speed Up Advanced Tricks Part 1

This presentation will provide you few advanced tricks to speed up Firefox

browser. Watch the presentation carefully

Pipelining

Browsers are very polite by default; they send a request to server and wait for continuing others

job till the response came from server. Pipelining is an advanced technique that sends multiple

requests to server before any response received. This often leads to reduced page loading time. –

Now watch the pipelining steps.

Type about:config in Firefox Address bar

Warning message came and click

Search for “network.http.pipelining” and then double click to change the value to “true”

Value Changed to “true”

Now search for “network.http.proxy.pipelining and double click to change the value

Value changed to “true”

Find and double click “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests”

Type 8 in place of 32

Render quickly:longer content notify interval will improve performance

Type: about:config and right click New->Integer

Enter “content.notify.interval” as preference name

Type 500000 and click OK

Right Click anywhere -> New->Boolean Now enter “content.notify.ontimer” as a preference name

Set the Content.notify.ontimer to “true”

Faster loading: Reduce the content switch threshold and improve performance.

Type about:config, right click anywhere-> new-> integer. Type “content.switch.threshold”

Type 250000 and Click OK

No interruptions: Firefox will ignore user interface events altogether until

the current pas has been downloaded.

Right Click anywhere -> New -> Boolean

Enter content.interrupt.parsing

Set the value to false
