“After the ball is over…”
The Ten Thousand Dollar Raffle Nite sponsored annually by Holy Child Sports Council came to pass once again on Saturday 28 January. Thanks are due to the Sports Council which planned, set up and executed the event, under the guidance of Pam Molloy and Loren Gutzler. The buffet supper, catered by Canlon’s, complemented the drinks and snacks brought by guests to their tables.
“Bright lights were flashing in the grand ballroom …”
Thanks to Father Ed, the stage was electrified to put everyone in the mood of the evening’s theme: “The 80’s.” Many attendees followed suit by showing up in costumes of the era.
“After the break of morn , After the dancers’ leaving, after the stars are gone…”
The Sports Council Committee with the assistance of our maintenance staff cleared things up, restoring the Forum to its usual status.
“Many the hopes that have vanished after the ball.”
We congratulate the winners of the raffle, especially the winners of the Grand Prize and we gratefully thank all those who pitched in with high hopes and good sport. The proceeds go to the support of the Sports Council which is reliant upon the generosity and good cheer of its annual guests.
