Scheduling the work over several weekendsis wise so the process doesn't becomeoverwhelming.

O Start with a clean up: After the first frost cut back faded ordead perennials (discard any that have signs of fungaldiease), clean out raised beds and borders.

O Rake up leaves on the lawn, pull any remaining weeds,then mow one last time.

O Clean, sharpen, and store garden tools in a dry place forthe winter.

O Make notes or save labels of favorite annuals to rememberthem for next spring
