With more than 9.000 students and about800staffmembers,theHochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hanover (HsH) ranks as the second largest university in the capital of the federal state of Lower Saxony. FacultyIoffersahighqualityengineering education leading to a bachelor‘s or a master‘s degree. About 14 percent of HsH-students study in this faculty.
Generally,abachelorprogramtakessevensemesterstocomplete,includinga practical placement. The degree programs taught in German are accredited and internationally recognized.
Study options in the bachelor degree programs include standard and dual-track programs for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.

Generally,abachelor‘sprogramtakessevensemesterstocomplete,includingapractical placement. The degree pro-grams taught in German are accredited and internationally recognized. Mecha-nical engineering programs include four dual-track bachelor degree programs and four non-dual bachelor programs. Onapostgraduatelevel,threeconse-cutive master degree programs and one non-consecutive master program are available,oneofwhichusuallybuildsupon a dual-track bachelor program.

Exchange Options for International Students
Welcome Each year, students from different countries study at University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover. Whether you are just exploring your options or you have already made up your mind in favor of our University - we will be happy to welcome you at our faculty.
Studies in German – regular degree program or double degree program
The standard language of instruction for all engineering studies is German.
If your German language skills are apropriate(B1/B2),youcanjoinourdegree programs that are taught in German. A bachelor‘s or master‘s degree canbeobtainedindifferentundergradu-ate and postgraduate study programs.
We have double degree agreements with some of our partner universities. Please contact your home university for further information. As a double degree student you will enter into the last academic year in order to obtain our German degree.

Every winter semester our two engineeringfacultiesofferaselectionoftechnicalandnon-technicalsubjectswhich are taught in English.
Thisofferisopentoourinternationalstudents from our partner universities and you can choose courses from both engineering faculties as well as from a varietyofothernon-technicalcourses,e.g.language courses or courses to improve your intercultural competences. Courses aretentativeandsubjecttochange.

Housing
HsHoffersaccommodationinstudenthalls of residence to exchange students coming from our partner institutions. However,thenumberofapplicantstoHsHhasincreasedsignificantlyandwe are under more pressure than ever regarding housing.
We strongly recommend all students applying to HsH to look for housing ontheirown,aswecannotguaranteehousing for all incoming students. Nontheless we will support you as goodaswecantohelpyoufindinganappropriate housing.

Herrenhausen Royal GardensThe Herrenhausen Gardens are an internationally famous ensemble of garden arts and culture that ranks among the most important historical gardens in Europe.
