- Fire Prevention Before we think about preventing an accidental
fire from starting, lets think about how wed intentionally start a
fire. We need: Fuel Heat source Oxygen We prevent a fire from
starting by controlling these elements. However, we wont be
adjusting oxygen levels in the air as a fire prevention
method!

Welding/cutting controlled by a Hot Operations Permit No lit
candles No Smoking in buildings Designated smoking areas are
outside
