Please join us on National Life Chain Sunday as we line up
along the south side of Hwy. 70 and in the grassy area in
front of Valley Hills Mall to support this Pro-Life event!
The Life Chain is a peaceful, silent, and prayerful national
movement held each year with the purpose of abolishing
abortion in our country.
We use uniform signs which state Abortion Kills Children,
Jesus Forgives and Heals, Adoption: The Loving Option,
Lord, Forgive Us and Our Nation, Abortion Hurts Women,
and Life: The First Inalienable Right.
It is that time again!
Christmas will be here before
you know it!
Start shopping now for shoebox supplies
and goodies so you will be ahead of the
Christmas rush.
Our goal this year is 650 Boxes!
That means 650 kids around the world will
be impacted by you and by Woodlawn
Baptist Church. Pick up one or two (or
even three) boxes on Sunday.
UPDATE ON THE PARKING LOT PAVING:
During construction and resurfacing of the parking lot, several areas of soft subgrade and extensive areas of additional poor asphalt were encountered that could not be left in place or repaired within the original scope of services. Because of this, the repair and replacement area had to be enlarged to create a clean stop and start point in the lot. These areas were taken up and repaired during the resurfacing of the lot and this resulted in additional square footage of resurfacing and undercut than what was planned.
The total cost for the work (original proposal voted on by the church plus additions) was $22,792.00. The original scope was paid for with the funds voted on by the church from the church savings, the additional funds that were needed to cover the additional repairs and resurfacing were taken from the repair and maintenance budget.
