The beginning of Eternal Perspective Ministries

Peaceful participation in nonviolent rescues of

unborn children outside the Lovejoy Surgicenter

leads to a lawsuit…

The abortion clinic could garnish all earnings over

minimum wage.

As a matter of conscience, Randy resigned as pastor

of GSCC in 1990.

This led to the founding of Eternal Perspective

Ministries, being supported by a core group of devoted

people.

The office was in the basement of the Alcorn’s home, with only Randy & Nanci as “employees.”

Soon Kathy Norquist joined

the staff.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what

is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but

what is unseen is eternal.(2 Corinthians 4:18)

At the forefront of the ministry was prolife work…

…and missions

Ironically, the abortion clinic lawsuits that resulted in Randy

resigning from pastoral ministry ultimately ended up

saving the lives of many unborn children and spreading

His gospel throughout the world.

In 1999, an office was added the back of the Alcorn’s

garage.

In 2007, the EPM staff remodeled and moved into

their present location in Sandy.

EPM’s goals are two-fold:1.To teach the principles

of God’s Word, emphasizing an eternal viewpoint

2. To reach the needy in Christ’s name, calling attention to the needs of the:

• unreached,

who’ve never heard the gospel;

• unfed, unclothed, unsheltered and poor due to circumstance (not choice);

• unsupported, Christians suffering in hostile spiritual environments;

• unborn, targeted for abortion, and their mothers deceived and exploited by the child-killing industry;

• unreconciled, those of different races and cultures who are alienated, hostile, or suspicious of each other;

• untrained, a generation growing up in a society without moral absolutes and eternal values, who need to hear God’s truth spoken in love.

EPM continues to minister to people all over the world through the books and audios of Randy’s books in many different languages…

“I value all things only by the price they shall gain in eternity.”

— John Wesley

“Only one life, it'll soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last.”

— C.T. Studd

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” — Jim Elliot

I've fallen more in love with my Savior, and your works have kindled the fires of my spiritual life, thrusting me more into His Word.

Allysa,suffering from long-term

chronic illness

Your ministry has played a pivotal role in my walk with Christ and I thank you for every book, every thought, every prayer for us inmates.

Christy,from prison

Thank you for the

books!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving on men behind bars…it means the world to us!

Patrick, prisoner from Texas

While I was a missionary in Russia I was sent Money, Possessions and Eternity. I was born with an orientation toward investment and return and had planned to be a rich missionary. But this book switched a flip for me. I didn’t have to change my orientation toward investment and return, I simply needed to change my investment horizon from 30-40 years to 30-40 million years! …

… God used this book to set the course for my life’s calling. For the past 15 years I’ve served at Generous Giving seeking to liberate people and resources for God’s kingdom for His glory.

Todd Harper, President of Generous

Giving

Thank you so much for the terrific book, Help For Women Under Stress. That's just what I need! I’m already practicing some of the things in chapters 9 and 10.

M. J., missionary

It is a joy to know a teacher/writer of such conviction and creativity. May God strengthen this wonderful work.

Max Lucado, pastor and author

We make the Heaven booklet available to all our patients. An older man picked up a booklet and read it cover to cover. He was a scientist and somewhat agnostic.  Because he saw these booklets in a “smart Dr.'s office” he read it and over the next couple of months, had some other interactions with questions. …

… He died a few months later but two weeks before his death he accepted the Lord.  His daughter was in the office in tears today thankful for that booklet.

Our profound affection, respect, and gratitude for you all and for the wonderful and ongoing effectiveness you are having in lighting up the cold, dark, culture in which we live. Your witness is bright and winsome, wise and relevant, courageous and consistent.

I’m 19 years old, and just finished reading Randy Alcorn’s book, Why Pro-Life? I now feel more confident about engaging in abortion discussions knowing that I’m armed with informative facts and thought-provoking questions.

Sydnee

I met a young girl at a camp for low-income inner city kids. We distributed a number of books including Why Pro-Life. Several years later I ran into this girl on the subway. She shared that she had ended up having a teenage pregnancy and through reading the book decided to keep her baby and put it up for adoption.…

… She reached into her purse and pulled out a tattered copy of Why Pro-Life that she carries everywhere. It was filled with little notes and highlights. She said this was the best book in the world and it changed her life. She wanted a copy for all her friends.

Jessie

I am an 11-year-old girl from Mississippi and read Safely Home and it was life changing!

Abigail

The books arrived yesterday and are going to be going into circulation this week. The inmates have loved Randy's writings and often are looking and asking for more.

What a remarkable gift and ministry you all have. May the Lord continue to bless all involved.

Chaplain Boyd, Maine

My pastor mentioned a special book he treasured. He said if he ever faced an emergency where he had to leave home in a hurry he would take his Bible and that book. I opened If God Is Good by Randy Alcorn, and I understood what he meant.

Heaven turned my black and white still photo of what I thought Heaven might be like into a full color video! Ken

Randy is my travel agent to where

I’m going soon, since I may

only have one year more to live.

62-year-old homeless man, living in his car and reading Heaven

The book Heaven has put a lot in perspective for the here and now as well as the pain and loss of losing a loved one. We now understand the biblical perspective of what we do affects us for all eternity. This helped us decide to work as house parents with children who can’t be with their families. What we learned from you is also our “go to” place when we feel like giving up. Roy & Sandra

I read Heaven and it rocked me. For the first time ever I was excited about Jesus! I wanted to know Him more and more, because I finally trusted that He had good intentions toward me, He wasn't just out to ruin my fun. I’m just so head over heels in love with Him now, I can't stop talking about Him. Deanna

I’m a volunteer jail chaplain and have been facilitating a group of men going through Randy's workbook on The Purity Principle. Wow! These men are

hungry for the right way. They’re opening up, encouraging each

other, and I get to challenge them in

God's Word.

Dan

I ran across Deadline and Dominion while browsing at the library.  Reading those books influenced me to begin volunteering at our local pregnancy center.  I served as a volunteer one year, assistant director one year, and the director for eight years. My husband and I are now preparing to serve on the foreign mission field in Costa Rica.

Marcia

I’m reading Deadline for the fifth time. I’m 87 years old and have been very widely read in my life but Deadline has influenced me in a way that no other novel ever has.
