Program Overview• Associate in Science (A.S.)

60 credit hours: ~2 years to complete as a full-time student

• Teaches students how to manage and control a building’s electrical and mechanical systems

• Students will develop a proficiency in:

HVAC/R commercial systems

Control theory

Logic and Programming

Installation

System Design and Integration

• Trained to enter the BAS controls industry as

skilled technicians capable of:

Marketing

Installing

Designing

Servicing

Troubleshooting Commercial Building Automation Systems

Energy Management &

Controls Technology Lab

• Incorporates both commercial HVAC and BAS technologies in a compact space.

• Limited dropped ceilings provide easy access to systems.

• Multi-vendor digital controls including Siemens, Automated Logic, and Trane so that our students build familiarity with a variety of BAS products...

• Carrier AHU, ABB variable frequency drives, Belimovalves

• Multiple monitors to highlight different equipment or BAS

• Assorted Nailor terminal units with electric re-heat and digital control

• Overhead IT networking cable trays

• Perforated metal panels for easy mounting of devices
