Criteria for selection
The exterior appearance of a façade isinfluenced by :
• weather conditions (cloudy or clear);
• solar intensity depending on thegeographical position of the buildingand time of day;
• the orientation of the façade relativeto the position of the observer;
• the surroundings;
• the interior of the building (lightinglevels, the presence and colour ofinternal blinds);
• heat treated glass (toughened glasscladding or spandrel panels maygenerally show slight optical irregu-larities caused by the tougheningprocess);
• the colour of exterior framing.
We strongly recommend specifyingthe colour and type of SGG EMALIT EVOLUTION upon viewing largesamples in their destined applicationand location on site, in order to achie-ve the required aesthetics. Theyshould also be viewed with otherglass types intended for the same ele-vation.
NB : Colour-swatches are for indicativeor comparative purposes only. Due tocurrent printing techniques, an exactreplication of enamelled glass cannotbe achieved. The final choice of colour should bemade after viewing actual glasssamples.
SGG SERALIT EVOLUTION
SGG EMALIT EVOLUTION and SGG SERALITEVOLUTION are toughened glasses, asspecified in standard EN 12150.
• SGG EMALIT EVOLUTION is an opaquecoloured glass, obtained by uni-formly depositing a layer of enamelon one side of the glass.
• SGG SERALIT EVOLUTION is a colour-patterned glass. It is produced bydepositing an enamel pattern to oneside of the glass, through a textilescreen.
The new enamels are of the same

ColoursSGG EMALIT EVOLUTION is available in a standard range of colours.
Please note : To obtain a uniformcolour, we recommend using a singlethickness of glass. Colours vary slightlyaccording to the thickness of the baseglass.
SGG SERALIT EVOLUTION is available inopaque coloured patterns (SGG SERALITEVOLUTION COLOR) and translucentcoloured patterns (SGG SERALITEVOLUTION OPALE).
In addition to the standard range ofcolours featured, bespoke colours andcolour-matching services are available.The colours of SGG SERALIT EVOLUTION
COLOR are identical to the colours ofSGG EMALIT EVOLUTION CLASSIC andMETAL. Ask us for the colours of SGG SERALIT EVOLUTION OPALE.
Please note : The enamel deposited byscreen-printing is not as dense as thatobtained by enamelling, hence thecolours tend to be slightly lesspronounced.

nature as the glass itself. They arelead-free, and contain no cadmium,lithium, mercury or chrome VI *. Theyare fired at very high temperature, aprocess which simultaneously tou-ghens the glass. The enamels are com-pletely integrated into the surface ofthe glass, giving the decoration excep-tional durability and total stabilityover time.

SGG EMALIT EVOLUTION and SGG SERALITEVOLUTION must always be installedin accordance with current nationalregulations.
SGG EMALIT EVOLUTION and SGG SERALITEVOLUTION can be channel-glazed,incorporated into bolted glass assem-blies or mechanically fixed. Glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal contact mustbe avoided. When panels are installedadjacently, there must be a minimumclearance of 3 mm between each panel.
Heat Soak Testing is recommended forfaçade-glazing.
In order to preserve the originalappearance of the glass, we recom-mend that SGG EMALIT EVOLUTION andSGG SERALIT EVOLUTION are glazedwith the enamel or screen-print onface 2, facing the inside of thebuilding.
SGG EMALIT EVOLUTIONSGG EMALIT EVOLUTION can also beadhesively glazed (exterior structuralsealant glazing) and used in ventilatedor non-ventilated spandrel panels.
SGG EMALIT EVOLUTION is not intendedfor viewing from an internal aspectand should always be located in frontof a back-up wall or an opaque sur-face.
For pale colours, it is advisable to placea uniformly coloured backing behindSGG EMALIT EVOLUTION. With adhesiveglazing, it is also necessary to checkthat the adhesive is not visiblethrough the glass.
