Los Verbos Regulares -ar -é -aste -ó -amos -asteis -aron
-er/-ir -í -iste -ió -imos -isteis -ieron
Practica:

NO ACCENTS in this group…EVER…don’t even think about it. Seriously, not even a teeny-tiny bit…NO ES POSIBLE!!!!
Each group represents the stem-change for that set of verbs.
Each group has their own set of endings or issues and don’t like to be confused with the other groups!!!

Stem-Changers [Part I]:-car, -gar, & -zar
Yo form only; use –ar preterite endings!! cqu ggu zc (tocar) toqué, tocaste, tocó… (pagar) pagué, pagaste, pagó… (empezar) empecé, empezaste, empezó
Stem-Changers [Part II]:
-aer, -eer, -uir & “oír” Ud./ Uds. forms only [iy] & use –er/ -
ir preterite endings; however accent all the “i” endings!!
Caer (to fall) caí, caíste, cayó, caímos, caísteis, cayeron
Leer (to read)….leyó/ leyeron Construir (to build)…construyó/
construyeron Oír (to hear)…oyó/ oyeron
Stem-Changers [Part III]:ei; o u
Applies to “–ir” verbs that only had a stem-change [eie; oue] in the present.
For preterite, Ud./Uds. only [ei; ou]; use –ir preterite endings!! Preferir
preferí, preferiste, prefirió, preferimos, preferisteis, prefirieron
Repetir repitió/ repitieron Dormir durmió/ durmieron
