ThissuiteistakenfromtheDresdenmanuscriptofWeiss’works.However,itisnearlyidenticalwithSuiteNo.7intheLondonand

WarsawmanuscriptssoIhaveincludedsomeoftheslightdifferenceswhichIthoughtbestsuitedtoperformanceontheguitar.

ThebaroqueluteforwhichWeisswrotehad13coursesincludingacompletediatonicscaleinthebass.Ihaveendeavouredtokeeptheperformanceofthispiecesimplethoughhavingtostopthestringsforthebasspartinevitablymakesthepiecelesseasytoperformandithasnotbeenpossibletoincludeallthelowerrangeofnotesattheiroriginalpitch.
