The “Uno-Like” Speech Sound Card Game

How to Play
1) Print out, cut out & laminate the cards.
2) Play game with classic Uno Rules:
• Deal out 7 cards to each player. Put the rest of the cards face down in a draw pile.
• Flip one card over from the deck to start the discard pile.
• Players take turns playing either the same color or same number/word as the top card in the
discard pile.
• Players must say the words on the cards as they play them.
• If a player does not have same color or number, he or she must draw from draw pile. He
or she may play or keep the card drawn from the pile.
4) Rules for Special Cards
• Reverse = order of play reverses
• Draw & Say 2 = Draw 2 cards and the player must say the word on the cards
• Skip = Player may choose another player to skip
•Wild Card = player may choose the new color
5) A player must say “Dos” when he or she has only two cards left. If another player catches them before
they say “Dos”, the player with one card now has to draw an additional card.
6) The first player to get rid of all of their cards is the winner!
Choosing Number of Cards
•You need 108 total cards. Here is the suggested break down:
• 25 cards of each color:
• 2 of each number 1 to 9
• 1 Zero Card
• 2 of each: Draw, Reverse & Skip Cards
• 8 Wild Cards
• Mix & match the target sounds with additional add-on card packs
(available in my TpT store).
•Example: Use 0-5 from the “sh” pack & 6-9 of the /r/ pack for
groups of kids working on different sounds.
