WHO I AMMy name is Danilo Varzè and I am a Bachelor in Art specialized in Lighting Design, Graphic Design, Web marketing and 3D Design for luxury Hotels, land-scape project and big architectural interventions.

THE INSPIRATIONDuring set design classes at the Academy of Brera in Milan I discovered how to transform the Historical buildings of the city with the new architectural light-ing technology and the giant image projections. The real inspiration came when in December 2002 I was on holidays in Lyon, France, for the Festival ‘Fête des lumières’ (The festival of the light). For four days the city is transformed in a big urban theater with giant image projections. In this occasion I decided to un-dertake a different direction to my studies towards this new way of conceiving the set design.

Resort Project

PHILOSOPHYI create 3D render for architectural project from 10 years ago, and I have seen an im-provement in the software, the techniques, and new functions, so that a photo-realis-tic result can be obtained as easily as it gets. I think the 3d rendering of architectural projects does not have to be interpreted as a perfect reconstruction of an architectural project, but rather as an impression of an in-stant. Impressionist painters such as Monet, Manet, Degas and their landscape master-pieces and lifestyle scenes did not mean to reproduce a perfect image of the scenes like a photograph, but rather aimed to capture the impression of the moment. Likewise, 3d rendering has to interpret the scene with the suggestion of the light - natural or artificial. The insertion of the objects should make the rendering as natural as possible.
