RAW MATERIALA wide range of material is employed to manufacture valve components from carbon steel and low temperature carbon steel to exotic materials. All raw materials are sourced either in Italy or within the European Union from well trusted qualified suppliers. All materials are inspected and have to be compliant with our standard rules.FG Valvole stocks bar and forged pieces in different materials, from carbon steel to nickel alloy in a dedicated warehouse; this area is also equipped with a band saw.All minor components are stored and barcoded in two lift warehouses with auto-mated shelves.
MACHININGFG Valvole production equipment uses the latest automation technology and is spe-cially engineered to meet the requirements of advanced large valve manufacturing. All operations are carried out by means of very high precision machinery and skilled operators to guarantee the design toleran-ce necessary for the valves to deal with high pressure temperatures for many years. Our Engineering Department is always involved in all the machining activities.
WELDING AND CLADDINGThe welding and cladding activities are outsourced from a list of qualified suppliers capable of operating in according to the most restrictive market specifications. All these operations are followed and supervi-sed by our Quality Department.

allowing the stem maintenance (graphite replacement) with valve under pressure and the ball in either fully open or fully closed position.
Fire-Safe DesignFG Valvole manufactures fire-safe desig-ned ball valve according to API 6FA, API 607, BS6755 part 2.
Body Sealing – Stem SealingThe zero leakage at body sealing and stem sealing is ensured by means of a double o-ring and a graphite gasket ring. The o-ring material is chosen considering the project specifications, but only after an accurate study of the operating and design service conditions. O-rings can be replaced by Lip-Seals or special gaskets. The graphite gasket can be replaced also while valve is under pressure and with ball both in open and closed position.
VALVE MAIN FEATURESAND OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
Antistatic DeviceBall valve design and stainless steel/inconel springs guarantee the elec-trical continuity among the metallic com-ponents, e.g. ball-stem-body, by means of an antistatic device.
Antiblow-out StemEach ball valve is designed so that the stem can never be subject to blow-out due to the overpressure in the body cavity.
Stem and/or Seats Emergency Sealant Injections (option)On request, valves can be equipped with emergency sealant injection fittings (grease injectors) on the stem sealing area and/or on the seat sealing area.
Double Block & Bleed FeatureTrunnion mounted valves have the stan-dard double block & bleed feature

Standard Design Single Piston EffectFluid pressure, both upstream and down-stream, creates a resultant thrust pushing the seat rings against the ball. Fluid pres-sure acting in the body cavity creates a resultant thrust that pushes the seat rings away from the ball. The Single Piston design allows the automatic release in the line of any overpressure in the body cavity once its thrust exceeds the one provided by the seat springs. This happens both when the valve is in the fully OPEN and fully CLOSED position. For this reason seats are usually called Self-Relieving.
Optional Design Double Piston EffectFluid pressure, both upstream and down-stream, as well as in the body cavity crea-tes a resultant thrust that pushes the seat rings towards the ball, assuring a comple-te seat sealing. Valves with both seats in double piston design require a safety relief valve on the body to reduce the build-up of overpressure in the body cavity.
Bonnet Extension:When valves are required to be operated in extreme temperature services (below -50° C or above +220°C), where expressly required by the project specifications and/or by Customer, valves are supplied complete with bonnet extension.
Stem Extension:When valves are required to be installed underground or in remote locations, where expressly required by the project specifications and/or by Customer, valves are supplied complete with stem exten-sion. In case of buried valves, drain and lubricant injection fittings can also be operated using extended connecting pipes firmly attached to the stem protec-tive cover.
