DAY 3 Daniel 3

King Nebuchadnezzar made a tall image of gold and placed it in the plain of

Dura.

As soon as the people heard the sound of the

instruments they were to fall down and worship the

image of gold. Anyone who didn’t worship the statue was to be thrown in the

fiery furnace.

Some of the king’s astrologers reported to the

king thatShadrach, Meshach and

Abednego refused to bow down to the idol.

The king approached the three men and threatened to throw them into his fiery

furnace.

But they responded…

The king was furious.

He ordered the furnace to be heated 7 times hotter

than usual. Then he ordered that

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to be thrown into

the furnace.

Then the king leapt to his feet.

The king called the men out of the fire and the three

men were not harmed. They were not burned, and they

didn’t even smell like smoke.

The king declared…

King Nebuchadnezzar believed because these

men stayed true to God. When they were afraid, they prayed and knew God would

take care of them.

God wants us to remember to Pray too!
