Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. Witek. was charged with stealing historical documents from the Buffalo History Museum and attempting to sell them to a New York City autograph dealer. He was released on his on recognizance provided that, among other things, he did not attempt to visit the Buffalo History Museum, other Buffalo-area cultural heritage museums, or "any public or private establishment where rare books are."
