INTRODUCTION We are all surrounded by technology all the time, its

everywhere. It serves like electricity, the more we use it the more we get charged or get more motivated to use it further. Users should be encouraged more to make better use of technology.

Technology has drastically changed in the education for the last ten years. Technological tools or gadgets, laptops, ipods, notebooks, Iphones have significantly replaced the use of text books.

Technology has formed new shape around the globe. Technology has become the important part of universities to use in curriculum development, quizzes, assignments, and term papers. Emergence of computers in our class rooms has developed a new waves of motivations among students at all levels.

Study Objectives: To check whether universities are users of

technological devices

To examine if the students and the professors are aware of advanced tools of technology

To check whether students and professors are keen to explore more about technology.

To examine the integration of technological devices with others

To find if the technology is in continuous expansion in the higher education.

To check refinement in the use of technological devices.

Hypothesis

H1: use of technology in education is more important than physically classes

H2: university ranking has improved significantly

H3: students have become more competitive

H4: more risks and challenges than to benefits

H5: next five years live classes will replace by online education

Tools 1. Second life:

Second life is full of interesting features which includes movies, 3D animation, dance, music, fashion and most fascinated games such as hunting, car racing, arcades and others.

It has become new technology in the field of education.

2. Podcast Podcast is a merger of files, text, news published on

the newspaper and the talk shows broadcast in the radio.

It is relatively new invention that allows the students to upload their written material on the net, where people can have easy access, review and make comments.

3. Xtranormal It actually help students to make 3D animated movie

with different sound effects, famous characters that includes celebrities, singers, newscasters, politicians, sportsmen or even own characters could be used. Situations, movies, lectures could be developed just by typing the text.

4. Black Board It is simply Course web that is specially designed for

tutors that help them to develop their curriculum. It motivates the tutors to make learning more effective and beyond the traditional wall.

Loti Framework Nonusers: This includes those areas which makes the

technology not integral part of higher education.

Awareness: It means degree of awareness among professors and students in terms of use of technology in education.

Exploration: It emphasis on exploring new horizons of technological devices

Infusion: it focuses on the higher learning skills of students.

Integration: New information technologies and new ways of thinking lies at the heart of integration. Effective learning in the academic setting is possible through strong connections with other tools such as decision support system, internet and intranet.

Expansion: Continuous expansion of the technology in higher education considered the most important element. As a matter of fact use of technology has made the education a global phenomenon.

Refinement: Problem solving skills among professors and students are strengthened. More emphasis is given on to create an ambience suitable to students

Research Methodology The major tool to gather the data is use of

questionnaire, comprising of 30 questions on the scale of Likert scale, which ranges from strongly agree to strongly disagree (1 – 5).

Sample size of 250 is selected includes director, HOD, students and other occupation.

Data Analysis and Interpretation.

Hypothesis Testing

Hypothesis 1

P value shows test is significant at .000%, which is strong evidence. It means that hypothesis H0 is accepted.

Hypothesis 2 It does not have strong evidence at .000%, hence

rejected. It follows that universities do not fall behind global competition. Moreover use of technology may not improve the reputation of the university.

Hypothesis 3 P value test shows that it is significant at .000%, which

is strong evidence. This follows that students have become more smarter and competitive.

Hypothesis 4 H4 is rejected. It follows that there are no more risks

and challenges than to benefits involved in the use of technology in higher education.

Hypothesis 5 H5 is rejected. It follows that in the next five years live

classes will not be replaced by online education.

Conclusion and Recommendations The analysis has given very interested results.

Questionnaire is based on five variables which includes awareness of the technological usage, ranking of the universities, students competitiveness, risks and challenged involved and universities in the next five years.

In general respondents have shown agreement in the use of technology but have shown little reservations in applications and limitations of the technological use in the higher education.

They are of the view that technological use is important in the higher educations but physical class activity has not lost its charm and integrity. Physical class activities help individuals to develop more relations as they have more physical interactions.

Although online education is more individualized in nature but physical class activities make the individuals more punctual and responsible. Hence this report concludes that physical class activity is as important as online education. Neither of educations network replace others.
