Why sustainability matters in Textiles
In the US alone, an
estimated 12.7 million tons of
textile waste is sent to
landfills annually.
Producing 1 Kg of cotton emits
more than 7 kgs of carbon
dioxide.
160 grams of pesticide and
herbicides are used to grow
cotton used in one T shirt.
It takes 2,700 liters to
produce a cotton T shirt.
