Creating a Google SiteMake sure you are logged in to Google!

Go to the website - sites.google.com

If you are logged in you will see this screen

Click the CREATE button

Select Blank template

Name your site with YOUR OWN NAME

Click the CREATE button

Your site will look like this

Pull down the more actions menu

Select Manage site

Uncheck the box that says Show site name at top of pages

Scroll down (about halfway) click Configure search

Uncheck - Enable Search

Click OK

Click Save

Click Cancel

Look for the message Your changes have been saved

Your site will look like the one below

Click the More actions button

Click Edit site layout

Click in the top part of the site to Edit site header

At the bottom click the Choose File button

Look in the downloads area for your logo

Click More actions

Select Edit site layout

Click Custom footer

In the dialogue box type and format your copyright statement

To get the copyright symbol hold down the ALT key and type 0169 on the right hand number pad

Click OK

Click Close to return to the view below

Click More actions

Select Manage site

Select Themes, fonts and colours

Change the background colour for Entire page

Change the background colour for Site header
