Although there are many interesting animals that live in deserts the coyote is an amazing creature. Did you know that when coyotes bark it’s saying stay away. Howls means where are you and huffing means where are my babies.

Coyotes live on land in deserts, prairies and forests.

What Coyotes eat

Coyotes are carnivores. Coyotes eat rabbits, rodents, frogs, fish, insects, snakes, fruit and deer.

The Size of Coyotes

The Coyote is 32 to 37 in length : tail is about 16 in.

Pet lovers know to keep their furry friends from coyotes because they are predators. Coyotes have terrific vision, a keen sense of smell and good hearing.
