Congratulations to HSK Scholarship RecipientsWe would like to congratulate the ten Oregon high school students recently accepted intothe HSK scholarship program These students took the HSK Test and demonstrated anexceptional understanding of the Chinese language so they will receive the opportunity tostudy at a Chinese university for one month

On April 14 150 enthusiastic participants demonstrated their Chinese linguistic artisticand cultural talents This annual competition is part of a larger world-wide competitionsponsored by the HanbanConfucius Institute Headquarters in China

Meet Our Teachers
Dingfei Shen of Hood River Valley High SchoolDingfei Shen has taught at Hood River Valley High School for almost two years Amonghis colleagues he is known to be extremely dedicated to his students and always enjoysintroducing them to a variety of cultural activities including Chinese painting calligraphyarts and music When he isnt teaching Dingfei loves to read hike and travel
Heres what Dingfeis colleagues have to say about him
Shen has been the most progressive teacher creating and implementing new courses tochallenge students and to accommodate their interests It will be so sad to lose such anamazing educator when he returns home to China
Shen has been a very active member of our staff participating in many activities andfunctions Our annual Homecoming Air Guitar performance is difficult for some staff toperform in but Shen participates with enthusiasm and school spirit that bonds us to himHe shares his many American adventures and we love him Thank you for sharing himwith us

On April 14 150 enthusiastic participants demonstrated their Chinese linguistic artisticand cultural talents This annual competition is part of a larger world-wide competitionsponsored by the HanbanConfucius Institute Headquarters in China

Dingfei Shen of Hood River Valley High SchoolDingfei Shen has taught at Hood River Valley High School for almost two years Amonghis colleagues he is known to be extremely dedicated to his students and always enjoysintroducing them to a variety of cultural activities including Chinese painting calligraphyarts and music When he isnt teaching Dingfei loves to read hike and travel

Shen has been the most progressive teacher creating and implementing new courses tochallenge students and to accommodate their interests It will be so sad to lose such anamazing educator when he returns home to China
Shen has been a very active member of our staff participating in many activities andfunctions Our annual Homecoming Air Guitar performance is difficult for some staff toperform in but Shen participates with enthusiasm and school spirit that bonds us to himHe shares his many American adventures and we love him Thank you for sharing himwith us
