Commercialization Plan
A product of Intelligent Mobile Robot (IMR) Lab, PAF-KIET
Opportunity/Need• Pakistan is prone to natural disasters (earth quake and floods etc.),
fire accidents due to ad-hoc/unplanned industrial setups, nuclear disasters and also terrorist activities
(Include statistics of historical accidents if possible)
• There is lack of rapid fire extinguishing solutions
• And fire extinguishing/working in nuclear sites is a dangerous job leading to severe casualties of the work force involved
• It is time to start using mobile robots equipped with latest fire extinguishing tools & debris removal gear
17-Apr-18 Commercialization Plan , IMR Lab, PAF-KIET 2
Small team of intelligent mobile robots with all the state of the art technologies embedded onto a Single Board Computer (SBC). The SBC is mounted on the mobile robots which enables them to take decision on the fly, thus creating an ad-hoc network at the disaster location.
Salient features include:
• Portable & robust robots which can work in hazardous environments
• Intelligent behavior such as object detection, target tracking and collision avoidance and coordination
• Both autonomous and manual control
• Communication with base station
