The Common Application
A universal application used by several hundred colleges and universities.All paperwork is delivered electronically through Naviance.Must link Common App to Naviance 1st www.commonapp.orgRead carefully – some schools require supplemental forms in addition to the common application.
Transcript Requests

Teacher Recommendations
Choose teachers who know you best
Provide them with:▪ Resume▪ List of schools and deadlines▪ Supplemental forms▪ Addressed stamped envelopes if necessary
Go onto Naviance and under the “Colleges” tab across the top, click on “Apply to College”. Click on “Letters of Recommendation”. Choose teachers from the drop-down box and then click on each school you’d like their letter to go to.
Give ample time for teachers to write recommendation letters prior to deadline date (2-3 weeks)
Write a THANK YOU note! (They are doing this on their own time for many students)
Counselor Recommendations
If you need a letter from your counselor:▪ Fill out the top of the 3 yellow teacher reference forms and
give them to teachers who know you▪ Fill out student brag sheet and parent brag sheet▪ Print out your resume & copy of college essay
Once this is completed, make an appointment to see your counselor for a full period and bring forms with you.
SAT/ACT
It is your responsibility to release and send your scores to www.collegeboard.org or www.act.orgOur school code is 311078Be sure to save the confirmation for your records. Keep all records and copies of reports in one place.
