Product Definition

Requirements on performance:

Drying (condensation)- Drying performance are identical to condensation dryer running production 2006- Programme technique, load capacity, no. of drying programmes identical to condensation dryer running production 2006

Real Wool Drying- Suitable for all kind of articles which are sensitive against mechanical agitation (wool, viscose, ... )- For reduced amount of load (1 ... 2 kg)

10

Product Definition

• Clothes refreshing- odour removal procedure with steam or/and fragrance

treatment- textile surface refreshment with steam treatment for cotton, fleece, linen fabrics etc.

- variable process air circuit (switch from open to closed position automatically depending on process step)

• De-wrinkling procedure- very improved easy ironing performance for cotton compared to the existing easy ironing program

- steam treatment for cotton fabrics- improved temperature – mechanic – profile for synthetics

15

Product Definition - Performance

As a function of material, quantity and programme

– Pre-ironing -> for blouses, shirts, trousers , jackets, skirts, coats etc. from linen, cotton, synthetic for 0,5 to ca. 1 kg laundry, that do not have to be ironed in ideal case

– Refresh -> Usable with not-washable and not washed textiles, Removing of smells, folds and rough creases - possibly is later necessary a ironing, since e.g. also „Bügelfalten“ are removed

– Iron aid -> for all materials because relatively even moisture distribution on and in the materials for 0,5 to ca. 3 kg laundry

17

Air Ccirculation System

The drying functionality is influenced by two air circulationsystems.• a warm air circuit which is sealed within the appliance• a cold air circuit which circulates ambient air through certain sections of the appliance

The warm air circuit removes the humidity from the clothes fabrics and crosses the cold air circuit inside of the heat exchanger. The result is a thermal exchange which condenses the humidity contained in the warm air.The condensation water is collected in a tank.

18

Humidity Sensing

Conductimetric sensor:

The two halves of the drum are separated by an insulating strip. The impedance of the front and rear shells ( to which the sensorsare connected) varies according tothe wash load, the type of fabricand the degree of humidity. This value is converted into anoscillation of 260Hz and 0Hz bythe electronic. It determines the duration ofthe cycle and the final humidity.

Service Mode

Attention ! ! !

- To exit the diagnostic mode, switch OFF the appliance.

- Then switch it ON and switch it OFF again(this is to avoid the machine goes into factorytest mode when a diagnostic mode was selected)

50

Service ModeProgramme Selector in Position 1User Interface – Test

Aktivated: All LEDs and LCDs (if present)

Behaviour: All LEDs flash in sequence. Pushing a button will light on thethe corresponding LED and the key number is shown on thedisplay (when available).

All LCD icons flash together.

51

Service ModeProgramme Selector in Position 2Condensation tank switch and pump, steamer tank switch, heater and NTC

Activated: If the pump is filled with water and the tank switch recognises thecondition then the pump is switched on.

Behaviour: If the steamer tank is empty (recognized by a Reed contact) thena warning icon will flash in the LCD display. But the steam heater is powered in any case. The steam heater temperature will be shown in the display.Warning LEDs are switched on

Condition: Door closed (Time out 10min.)

52

57

Service ModeProgramme Selector in Position 8Conductimetric sensor: drum short circuit

Activated: Conductimetric sensor reading

Behaviour: The step lasts 4 seconds. During this time all warning LEDs flash to give information of acquisition phase. At the end of thestep warning LEDs are switched offto give ok, otherwise a sensor alarm is generated.

Condition: Door closed

58

Service ModeProgramme Selector in Position 9Conductimetric sensor: drum open circuit

Aktivated: Conductimetric sensor reading

Behaviour: The step lasts 4 seconds. During this time all phase LEDs flash to give information of acquisition phase. At the end ofthe step Leds are switched off to give ok, otherwise they flash forever. ( no alarm active)

Aktivated: Reed switch

Behaviour: Same test like before for assembly test only

61

Electric Test Mode

Depending on Software configuration the machine will start theElectric test programme when switching on the appliance afterService mode. In this test programme all electrical componentsWill be activated.Because the power consumption would be too high for the CRM(3 heaters), the electric test mode is splitted in 2 test cycles.

Programme selector in position 1 – EL1:Dryer components active:Drum motor, fan motor, full heating and condensation pump

Programme selector in position 2 – EL2:CRM – components active:Steam heating and steam pump

62

Alarm Management In User Mode

1. Buzzer sounds for alarms which are shown to the customer only (E20, E40, excepted EB0)

2. Buzzer sounds with a specific sequence of three short beepsabout every 20 seconds (for TC1 – appliances a special jingle will be played for warnings)

3. In case of alarm the red Start/Pause – LED flashes as long as the fault condition is present (0,5s on, 0,5s off)

4. For TC1 appliances with graphic LCD display the warnings will be shown as text messages

63

Alarm Management In User Mode

Fast alarm reading is possible like in the presentwashing machine range by pressing the standard key combination about 2 seconds.

64

Alarm Management In Service Mode

1. Turn the programme selector to the alarm memory position

2. Red and green LEDs integrated in Start/Pause key flash alternated according to alarmn code:- Red LED shows the alarm family code (E42 4 times)- Green LED shows the alarm number (E42 2 times)

3. Alarm will be shown completely in time to end display, if LCDdisplay available (example: E42)

4. For graphic LCD user interfaces (TC1) a specific customer screen with complete alarm code and possible supplemen-tary text descriptions can be shown

5. Delete the alarm memory by pressing standard key combination

65

Alarm Management In Service Mode

Attention:

It´s possible to read the last three alarm codes in the alarm memory by pressing a key combination simultaneously.

( Solution still under development )

66

Clear Alarm Memory

The alarm memory can be cleaned in service mode. Use thestandard key combination for 2 seconds in the alarm memory position of the programme selector

Important! After a succesful repair the alarm memory should becleared always.

Standard key combination:Press simoultaneously Start/Pause and the first key left from it.

67

Alarm Table

The failure codes of the EDR1000 / EDR 2000 range are stillvalid.Additionally new alarm codes will be implemented for the CRMcomponents.

The creation of the new alarm table is still in development.

It can be found in the new service manuals for the ENV06

Tumble dryer models when available.
