Lyric Poem

Lyric poems are short, rhyming and usually written in 1st person point of view.

Concrete

Concrete poems are when the words are arranged to create a picture that relates to the content of the poem.

Haiku

• Haiku poems are Japanese poems written in three lines that do not rhyme.

• Example:As the wind does blow across the trees I see the buds blooming in May

LimericA Limerick poem has a stanza of 5

lines with the 1st,2nd and 5th usually rhyming with one another.

AcrosticAcrostic poem is a poem in which

the first letter spells out a word.
