Class Intercessor?

God calls Moses

Moses was a shepherd

He takes care of his sheep and plays with them in the middle of the dessert everyday.

The Burning Bush• One day, Moses saw a burning bush

• The bush was on fire, and yet was not burnt.

• Moses was wondering! What’s going on? What is this? How come the bush is on

fire and its not burning?

The Burning BushMoses went closer to see what this might

be?

and he heard a voice saying...

The Burning BushThe Lord: Moses!.... Moses! Moses: “Yes, here I am.”

The Lord: Come near, take off your shoes; for the ground upon which you stand on is holy. I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The Lord continued : I’ll send you on a mission. Go to Pharaoh and say to him: The God of my fathers has sent me... let my people go out of this country to worship me.

Moses: Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?

The Burning BushThe Lord: “I will be with you.”

Moses: The people may not believe that you have sent me.

The Lord: I know that Pharaoh will not let my people go unless he sees my miracles. I will give you three signs.

The First SignThe Lord said to Moses: “What is that in your hand?”

Moses: A rod

The Lord: throw it on the ground.”

So Moses throw it on the ground and it became a serpent. Moses fled from it.

The Lord: Put out your hand and take it by the tail.

Moses did and it became a rod

Moses: When people see this miracle they will believe that you have sent me.

The Second Sign

The Lord: “Put your hand onto your bosom”

Moses obeyed and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow.

The Lord: “Put your hand back onto your bosom and when Moses took it out it was good again

The Lord: Are you pleased.... do you believe that the people will believe you?

The Third Sign

The Lord: If they will not believe you, you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it upon dry ground, ....

....and the water, which you shall take from the Nile, will become blood upon the dry ground.

Moses still feels so weak

Moses: Lord I am a poor speaker.

The Lord: I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.

Moses: O my Lord, could you please send someone else?

The Lord: “Obey me ... go and I will send Aaron, your brother with you.

This time, Moses obeyed and went with Aaron to Egypt, they met with the people and informed them of the Lord message

Remember

• God can change weakness to strength.

• God uses small things to accomplish BIG things.

• God will be with us always, we just have to trust in him and have faith in him.
