AutoCAD Lesson 3 – W6 How AutoCAD Works:

1. Make Sure there is no

current command

3. No Command then ok

5. Look to the Command bar &

Curser for 1st part of process

9. Follow Commands – choose point of displacement (when copying for example)

Draw a line

Draw another one – opposite

Click C for circle

Touch the tip of the 1st line and then the 2nd

When you find the intersection point you draw your circle

Spacebar to finish the tool, and then spacebar to start it again

Keyboard Short cuts

F Fillet Tool (set to 0 to join point - & remember to select the part of the line you wish to keep)

Mi Mirror Tool (you select the first point you want it to mirror to and then u press enter)

Draw this by using the line tool, offset and the fillet tool.

When you want to make space for the door u draw a line on midpoint and then u draw the distance you want on either sides.

Trim what you don’t need and you will get the space you want

To draw the door, you need to know the distance between the space that you have

(for example – 400)

1. Draw a line which is 200 mm (half the space

you have

Draw a circle that has 200 for the diameter

Press Mi and then Highlight the space you want to mirror,

press space

Specify the first point and then press

spacebar, move curser until it’s mirrored on

the right side

Now you have the door ready and in

the middle
