• To find out and reflect on Christian attitudes and responses to the starving, poor and sick.

• To find out about the work of different Christian charities.

• Read pgs. of 58 ‘Ethics Through Christianity’.

• Explain what the Bible teaches Christians about looking after the most vulnerable.

• What are the responses of the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church?

Christian Charities• Research on the work of a specific Christian charity.

• Produce a PowerPoint, or other form of work on your chosen charity.

• Areas for you to focus on should include: a) History/Establishment; b) Reasons why it was set up; c) Where it operates and how; d) Effectiveness e) Links to Christian groups and Christian teachings.

Feedback

• This work could then be presented to the rest of the class.

• Charities could include: TearFund,

WorldVision, CAFOD, Christian Aid or the Salvation Army.

• You could focus on another Christian charity if you wish.
