communication , it may be a message , a

stimulus , a signal , it assumes a response in the

receiving organism and therefore , possess a

response potential.”

b) According to ALA encyclopedia

of Library and Information science

, “ information is a property of

data resulting from or produced by

a process that produced the data.”

STRUCTURE

Information can understand

only through language.

Information should not exist

without any language.

LANGUAGE

Characterizes the completeness , accuracy , relevance , and timeliness of information.

QUALITY

The total span of time which value can be derived from the information.

LIFE

Information may be a message , a signal , or a stimulus.

Meant for communication. Validity of information will

depend upon the origin or source.
