“It really cuts down on phone trac.”

Clients have responded well to the new two-way texting communication.

“The clients love the textnig, epecially when they are at work and not able to receive phone calls.”

“We have clients’ responses in writing to referback to and it also allows for faster responsetimes when there are several clients in front ofyou waiting to be helped and all the phonelines are busy."

Manager at Giles County Animal Hospital,Mandy Long, was looking for a way to moreeciently communicate with her clients. Phonecalls were going unanswered and email was tooslow for the communication that needed to takeplace for patient care and follow-up. She under-stood that their clients couldn’t always pick upthe phone or listen to voicemails, especiallyduring their busy days.

Sta was also constantly having to put clientson hold during the busy parts of the day.She was looking for another way the hospitalcould communicate with clients that was fasterand easier but also allowed sta to keepdocumentation of the communication takingplace for patient records.

Text messaging allows clients to be able to get their message across without having to sit on hold.”
