Bishop Johnie James Johnson
Greetings to the precious member of Calvary:
I want to thank you for your faithfulness to this church, a church where
you can go to Heaven from. I am Godly proud to be the Shepherd of this flock. I
sincerely welcome all the new members, I am here for you. Feel free to call upon me for you ministerial needs.
I encourage you to be strong in the Lord and continue to be the Church that God is calling for in this last and
evil days. Let us be strong in the Lord, abide in His will, and do His work. Keep this thought in mind, “if each
member would be like me, what kind of church would this be”? God Bless and keep you all.
Your Servant,
Bishop Johnie J. Johnson

In 2013, Dr. Herldleen Russell received the vision to establish the Mother Willie Mae Rivers school in Uganda. The school is intended to be a prototype for future schools organized by the Church of God in Christ to educate the next generation of African leaders. The school
honors Mother W.M. Rivers, because of the emphasis placed on improving the lives of young people and preparing them to take their place as society shapers. You can purchase a keep-sake calendar for $10 to support the opening of the school. Every time you give during the “mission’s” offering, you are helping to support ministries like this.
The month of May will be the last month of Girl Scout meetings until August
2015, when the new season begins. Girl Scouts meet every Thursday from 6
PM to 7:30 PM at Calvary. Any girls grades K-12th are invited to join the
troop. We are in need of adult volunteers and leaders. Please
contact Sis. Michele Bellamy for information at (843) 735-0782.
