Explanation of types of pacing

Student Paced –Immediate Feedback

Student Paced- Student Navigation

Teacher Paced

Students receive immediate right/wrong feedback and explanations after they answer each question. Students answer questions in order and cannot skip or change their answers.

Students have the ability to edit questions, skip questions and navigate the quiz their own way. Once they’ve completed their questions they submit the entire assessment.

Teachers control the flow of questions. You send one question at a time, and visualize the responses as they happen. You can skip and revisit questions.

Krupp: Socrative 34

Additional Settings

To keep scores private make sure names are disabled.

Great to randomize if taking a student-paced quiz and other students can see each other’s screens.

To ensure cheating is not happening between screens during the student-paced assessment, using these options secure the test more.
