Budapest Symphonie de couleurs et de
bonheur!
Ramona Popescu - Roumanie
This meeting represented a great experience that will definitely
change certain things in my life. I meet these wonderful people,
teachers, just like me, students that show their talents in the most
natural ways, and which I congratulate for the innocence and purity that lies in their souls. I also had the opportunity to visit such a
great city, filled with kind people and style.
Many thanks to Magdi, to Budapest and to all participants of this event!
Puis, on
Cristina Antonela Hopp – Roumanie
The meeting in Budapest opened the first page of an unwritten collection book. Impressions,
unforgettable places, faces - all will remain alive in our
memory and will gradually fill in time the white pages of our
story, a story born from a permanent desire for
knowledge and for overcoming the socio-cultural barriers.

JOURNAL
On a eu l'occasion d'admirez plusieurs
On a visité
FOR THOSE WHO … NE PARLENT PAS FRANÇAIS
Early FRIDAY morning. All teams are ready to set off and get to work. The first Hungarian to meet – the best guide in the city – briefly speaking
Magdi.First we were welcomed at HJ School by the Principal and the Hungarian staff.
An extremely warm welcome, enriched with a fantastic show.We were astonished and really content to hear songs and poetry in our own
languages. We went on to see the presentations of partner schools and education systems and made the necessary arrangements – further meetings, tasks
and responsibilities such as the website, the blog and the project logo competition.
In the afternoon we went sightseeing and visited Buda Castle District in the school’s neighbourhood.
The castle is the home to the Hungarian National Gallery, the Budapest History Museum and the National Széchényi Library.
We had an opportunity to admire numerous monuments, the castle courtyard, Matthias Church and the outstanding landscape seen from the
Fisherman’s Bastion overlooking the Parliament, Pest, Margaret Island and Gellert Hill.
The highlight of the day was a dinner at Trofea Restaurant which was really … challenging but definitely unforgettable!
SATURDAYIn the morning, having digested the previous night’s dinner, we headed for
the Metro station to get to the Parliament – one of the major attractions of the Hungarian capital.
The majestic building is situated on the embankment of the Danube perfectly shows its symmetric neo-Gothic design. Exceptional thanks to its facade
with numerous statues, the interior filled with impressive sculptures, frescos, coat of arms and stained glass … and complementing
adornment of the conference room. The most important exhibit exposed there is the Crown of St. Stephen – the
Holy Crown of Hungary is the symbol of Hungarian monarchy and one of the attributes of the country’s independence.
After a quick visit to Halles and doing the necessary shopping - equipping our kitchens with the irreplaceable spices and ingredients - we were taken on
a train ride towards one of the most beautiful and bohemian towns – Szentendre.
It was a real pleasure to walk along the picturesque streets once visited and inhabited by generations of outstanding Hungarian artists. The town
which preserved the genuine architecture is now home of unique in the world Marzipan Museum or (highly recommended) Margit Kovács
Museum of charming ceramic works… certainly among many others.
The culmination of a very busy but memorable day was a visit to another „temple of gluttony” … oh Lord, forgive me, but I’m lovin’ it!
The perfect taste of countless dishes served in bucket-sized plates was completed with fantastic atmosphere created by the staff and
‘mediaeval’ artists.It was simply great…
SUNDAYFantastic weather encouraged endless walks and further exploration of the
city. The variety of tastes, interests and preferences inevitably led to various
choices taking some of us to museums, historic sites or the opera. But most couldn’t resist the temptation and plunged into warm waters of
pools at Szechenyi thermal baths. The place, which dates back to ancient times, has become over the years the pure symbol of Budapest. Located in the heart of a wonderful park is permanently under siege by tourists
and local residents. Some of us – exhausted but extremely happy – ended the day on top of the
city – Gellert Hill.
‘The view over ‘the city of light’ is simply outstanding’ - Gosia sighed happily …
MONDAYBACK TO REALITY…
We gathered again to accomplish the mission…We summarized the meeting, discussed details of individual assignments, the
scheme of communication between the partners and the nearest meeting – this time in Romania.
So See You Budapest … definitely not Farewell…But we are looking forward to meeting fantastic Romanian girls
with ‘Directritza’ Ramona in the vanguard ;)
THANX A MILLION
