2 SAFETY SAFETY ALERT SYMBOL
This safety Alert symbol means ATTENTION! BECOME ALERT! YOUR SAFETY IS INVOLVED! The Safety Alert symbol identifies important safety messages on the Buffalo Turbine Blower and in the manual. When you see this symbol, be alert to the possibility of personal injury or death. Follow the instructions in the safety message. SIGNAL WORDS: Note the use of the signal words DANGER, WARNING and CAUTION with the safety messages. The appropriate signal word for each message has been selected using the following guidelines: 1. DANGER – An immediate and specific hazard that WILL result in severe personal
injury or death if the proper precautions are not taken. 2. WARNING -- A specific hazard or unsafe practice that COULD result in severe personal injury or death if proper

YOU are responsible for the SAFE operation and maintenance of your Buffalo Turbine Debris Blower. YOU must ensure that you and anyone else who is going to operate, maintain or work around the Buffalo Turbine Blower be familiar with the operating and maintenance procedures and related SAFETY information contained in this manual. This manual will take you step-by-step through your working day and alerts you to all good safety practice while operating the Blower. Remember YOU are the key to safety. Good safety practices not only protect you but also the people around you. Make these practices a working part of your safety program. Be certain that EVERYONE operating this machine is familiar with the procedures recommended and follows safety precautions. Remember most accidents can be prevented. Do not risk injury or death by ignoring good safety practices. • Blower owners must give operating
instructions to operators or employees before allowing them to operate the Blower, and at least annually thereafter.
• The most important safety device on this
equipment is a SAFE operator. It is the operator’s responsibility to read and understand ALL Safety and Operating instructions in the manual and to follow these. All accidents can be avoided.

The SANDEVIL attachment from Buffalo Turbine is capable of improving your aerification process on the golf course in addition to minimizing the damage to the turf. The SANDEVIL is designed to use the “Turbine Powered Air” produced by the Model KB blower to evenly spread top dressing material into aerification holes up to ½. In dry conditions, a minimum of 3 passes may be needed to fill the aerification holes. Larger holes and moist condition require additional passes. Turbine powered air is diverted and baffled downward forcing the top dressing material into aerification holes or thatch. The height adjustment (lever) along with the nylon bristled skirting is designed to help contain the top dressing material and turbine powered air within the confines of the lower housing. WHEN FILLING AERIFICATION HOLES, POSITION THE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT LEVER TO THE STTING WHERE THE NYLON BRISTLES ARE JUST TOUCHING (OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE) THE PUTTING GREEN SURFACE. POSITIONING THE SANDEVIL UNIT TO ITS LOWEST SETTING WILL REDUCE OR STARVE THE AIR FLOW PRODUCED FROM THE TURBINE TO THE SANDEVIL ATTACHMENT. The heavy-duty steel construction and caster wheels combined with the powder-coated finish translates to minimal maintenance requirements. In a matter of minutes the SANDEVIL is easily attached to any Buffalo Turbine Model KB blower unit.
