The classes of Battlefield 3
Meet the Assault
The Assault class are masters at infantry combat. It has a choice of two gadgets only available to the Assault: Underbarrel ‘M320’ and ‘M26’ with variety of ammunition types and the ‘Medic Kit’.
The Assault class has a default unique gadget which is the Defibrillator that gives the player the ability to revive fallen teammates to full health before they pass out.
The acquired weapons for Assault class are the assault rifles.
Assault rifles are capable on all range making the Assault class the best all-round.

M320 M26 Medic Kit Defibrillator
"A single shot 40mm Grenade Launcher, the M320 replaced the old M203 in service with
the US Military. Initially developed for the G36 assault rifle, the M320 allows a larger variety of ammunition to be
used with the weapon including
Fragmentation, Flechette, and Smoke rounds. The M320 can be equipped on some Assault Rifles with the
Underslung Rail."
"The M26 Lightweight Shotgun System was developed to replace
older, more cumbersome breaching shotguns. Available as a standalone shotgun,
or capable of being mounted on some Assault Rifles with
Underslung Rails, the M26 is able to fire Shot,
Flechette, Frag, and Slug rounds."
"A deployable Medical Kit provides healing over time to soldiers near the kit, greatly speeding the
body’s natural healing processes.”
"Automated External Defibrillator (AED) allows an Assault soldier with proper medical training to revive a downed
teammate within a short time after his apparent death."
Note: equipping non US-side weapons and attempting to attach it with M320 will be replaced with GP-30 or a standalone M320.

Meet the Engineer
The Engineer class is built to destroy heavy hostile units with extreme prejudice. It has a choice of three gadgets only available to the Engineer: Repair Tool, EOD bot and M15 AT Mine.
The Engineer class have unique anti-armour weapons which are SMAW, RPG, FIM-92 Stinger and SA-18 IGLA are very effective against all vehicles but only the SMAW and RPG can be use against ground vehicles and infantries.
The acquired weapons for Engineer class are the Carbines.
Carbines are very effective for short to medium range engagement but not suited for long range.

Repair Tool EOD Bot M15 AT Mine
"A hand held oxy-fuel welding and cutting torch provides the engineer with the
ability to both Repair Friendly and Damage
Enemy vehicles.”
“A remotely controlled Explosive Ordinance Disposal robot allows the engineer to repair and damage vehicles like a normal repair
tool, but can also arm and disarm explosives and MCOM stations in
Rush.”
An Anti-Vehicle blast mine, the M15 was first used during the Korean War. Armored vehicles
traveling above a minimum speed will be disabled or destroyed by passing over the
mine.
RPG-7V2 FIM-92 STINGER SA-18 IGLA FGM-148 JAVELIN SMAW
“A widely-produced, anti-tank rocket
propelled grenade weapon, the RPG-7
has been used in almost all conflicts
across all continents since the mid-1960s. Modernized into the RPG-7v2, which is lighter, and more accurate than the
original RPG-7 and firing GP-7VL rocket
propelled grenades the RPG-7v2 is effective
against both fortifications and
armour.”
“The FIM-92 Stinger is a man portable infrared homing
surface-to-air missile (SAM). The Stinger is capable of locking on and engaging a large variety of craft, from
small UAVs up to low flying helicopters and
jets. The Stinger requires a locked target in order to
fire.”
“Russian man-portable infrared
homing SAM. Labeled the 9K38 by
the Russians and SA-18 IGLA by the
US, the IGLA is capable of enganging
a wide range of threats from UAV sized aircraft up to helicopters and low flying jets. The IGLA
requires a locked target in order to
fire.”
“A shoulder launched Anti-Tank missile
with both Direct and Top Attack modes. A
Fire-and-Forget system requires a
lock on before launch, but the
missile will guide itself to the target.
When firing on Laser Designated targets
the Javelin automatically uses Top Attack mode,
which is exceptionally
powerful against enemy armour.”
“Developed especially for the US Marine
Corps to defeat light armor and enemy
bunkers, the Mark 153 SMAW is capable of
defeating both modern armor and
emplacements. 83mm unguided rockets are loaded individually at
the back of the launcher from
disposable sealed 1 time use units at the
rear.”
