How To Make Your Unit Deposits
Deposit slips are provided. PLEASE USE THEM!
You may deposit into ANY Bank of America Branch.
It’s important to clearly write your name, unit number and date on your deposit slip.
You must keep the 2 stamped carbon copies of your deposit slips to submit at close out.
These stamped deposit slips are like cash with your settlement paperwork. DO NOT LOSE THEM.
How to Close Out Sale with Settlement Forms
If unit elects to place a product order for Show and Sell (due Sept. 7th), you MUST complete a Show and Sell Settlement Form and submit to council with all monies deposited by October 26th.
If your unit does Take Order, you MUST complete a Take Order Settlement Form with all final deposit slips, transfer forms, and other Scout prize forms ($1500 Club and Scholarship) by Dec. 7th .
If your unit does both (which over 50% of the units do), you MUST complete both settlement forms and submit to council by their due dates to receive the 5% on time commission incentive.
All paperwork is in your large white envelope in bag and will make sense once you’re to that part of the sale.
How to Receive Unit Commission
There are three options on how your funds may be handled:1. Have a check made out to two adult leaders in the unit.
New this year: We require an IRS W9 form completed and submitted with final (Take Order) Settlement form.
2. Have the check made out to your unit number (Pack 222 for example) We require an IRS W9 form to be submitted with final (Take Order) Settlement form.
3. Elect to have unit commission deposited into unit (custodial) account that is held at council office and Scout Shop. Primary uses: expenses at Scout Shop and camping fees. NOT RECOMMENDED
All units that submit their Take Order Settlement forms on time and with full deposits will receive their commission by end of December.
